The Fourth Annual Dog Walk and Dog Show-off Competition

Location: Peaks View Park
Cost: $20 minimum pledge for Dog Walk and $10 registration fee for the Dog Show-off.
Registration begins at 9:30 am |
Walk begins at 10:00 am | estimated 1 mile walk
Dog Show-off begins at 11:00.

Raising Pledges for the Dog Walk
With a minimum pledge of $75 you will receive a free Paws on Peaks View T-shirt. All pledge contributions are tax deductible. Please encourage your friends, family neighbors and co-workers to make a donation to the Lynchburg Humane Society in support of your participation in this event. Prizes will be awarded for the largest amount of pledges.
Forming a Team for the Dog Walk
Do you have a group of friends, neighbors or co-workers who would like to walk together? You may form a team with a goal to raise $100 in pledges per person. Prizes will be awarded to those who raise the most money and demonstrate they are most creative or have the most team spirit.
Dog Show-off Competition
After you enjoy the stroll with your dog, stay and compete in our fun filled show off event.
Best Costume is an opportunity to let your pooch strut his stuff in style. Does your dog look like you? You can compete in the Owner Look-a-like class. In Musical Sit, see if your dog can sit before the others when the music stops. Does Fido have a special talent? Win the Best Trick category. Do you have an interesting mix of dogs in your house? Enter the Fairly Odd Family class. Best Looking Rescue, well that is self-explanatory. To compete a fee of $10 is requested and you can participate in as many of the classes you want. Be sure to hang around for the fabulous activities that include a vendor fair, music by the Dog Boys, face painting, dog demonstrations, giveaways, food and much more.
Dog Walk Safety Rules
All dogs must wear a collar, be on leash, socialize well with other dogs, be current on rabies vaccinations and not be in heat.
