Spay - Neuter
In an effort to reduce the unwanted litters of puppies and kittens in our community we have a shuttle that will take your animal to the South Central Spay/neuter Clinic on Wednesday morning of each week. They stay over night and return at noon on the following day,Thursday.
To sign up please come to the Lynchburg Humane Society to fill out paperwork and pay for the services. If your pet has had a previous rabies shot then please bring proof. You must come in person to sign up.
Prices are as follows:
• Male Cat: $40
Vaccinations are only available at the time of the spay/neuter service. The South Central Spay/neuter Clinic will not do just vaccines.
• Female Cat: $55
• Male Dog: $60
• Female Dog: $65
Dog Vaccinations:
Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Kennel Cough $8 each. To receive a 3 year rabies shot, must bring rabies certificate from prior vaccination.
Cat Vaccinations:
Rabies, Feline Distemper $8 each Feline Leukemia $10 To receive a 3 year rabies shot, must bring rabies certificate from prior vaccination.
Testing: For cats, FIV/FeLv $20; For Dogs, Heartworm $14

You will need to drop your pet off at the Lynchburg Humane Society by 8:00 the morning of your appointment. Appointments are available every Wednesday. You will pick up your pet the following day, Thursday at 12 noon.
Pre-operative instructions: Your pet should have nothing to eat or drink after midnight prior to the appointment. Cats must be in a carrier/crate and dogs must be on leash.
